The Faculty of Physical Therapy at the Egyptian university in Alamein is established as a distinguished center for education and scientific research in physical therapy, contributing to the promotion of health and well-being both locally and internationally.
The Faculty of Physical Therapy at the Egyptian university in Alamein is committed to equipping students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors to deliver evidence-based practice—first as students and later as qualified graduates—within a framework of ethical and legal standards.

The faculty primarily aims to enhance the qualifications of physical therapy graduates to meet the demands of both local and international labor markets, through a set of objectives that can be summarized as follows:

  1. Adopting academic programs and curricula that emphasize students’ practical skills to meet the requirements of local, regional, and international job markets.
  2. Implementing quality assurance programs to improve performance in education, scientific research, and community service, with the goal of achieving accreditation for the faculty and its academic program.
  3. Establishing local and international cooperation agreements to advance education systems and scientific research in the field of physical therapy.
  4. Promoting collaboration among research teams to optimize the use of resources and capabilities at both the faculty and university levels.
  5. Developing effective partnerships with stakeholders in the healthcare system by providing consultancy services to local and regional institutions through distinguished faculty and academic staff.

The Academic Departments

The Academic Admission

The university accepts both Egyptian and international students. To enroll in the university for a bachelor’s degree, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. The applicant must hold a General Secondary Education Certificate (Scientific – Science division) or an equivalent certificate from recognized Arab or international educational systems, as determined by the faculty, while adhering to the requirements set by the Council of Private Universities.
  2. The minimum grade for admission is determined annually by the Council of Private and National Universities.
  3.  Students transferring from equivalent faculties will be accepted according to the regulations set by the Supreme Council of Private Universities.
  4. Non-Egyptian students are admitted under the same conditions as Egyptian students and according to the rules established by the Supreme Council of Private Universities.
  5. Applicants must pass the English language proficiency test set by the university or achieve a minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS.
  6. A personal interview will be conducted as part of the admission process.
  7. Applicants must pass a medical examination proving they are free from infectious diseases and physically fit for the nature of study at the faculty.
  8. The applicant must have good conduct and a reputable character.
