The Academic Specialties

The Academic Admission

Students may be admitted to the Faculty of Dentistry if they meet the following conditions:

  • Egyptian students must have obtained the Egyptian General Secondary Certificate in the Science stream or an equivalent recognized foreign certificate approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.
  • The number of students admitted to the first year is determined by:
    1. The Coordination Office (for public universities), and
    2. The Ministry of Higher Education (for private and national universities),
      taking into consideration labor market demands across Egypt and neighboring regions.
      In addition, the student must:
    3. Pass the medical examination as per university regulations.
    4. Be fully dedicated to study.
    5. Have obtained the required qualification within the period allowed by the Egyptian system.
    6. Be of good conduct and reputation.

For international students, certificates must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and equivalized in accordance with the regulations of the Supreme Council of Universities.
Applicants must submit the following documents:

    • Original qualification certificate and birth certificate.
    • Six recent passport-sized photographs (4×6 cm).
    • Certified medical examination report.
    • Form 2 GOND (for male students).
    • Sports excellence certificate (for those receiving sports incentives).
    • Any additional documents required by the college.
    • All required documents must be submitted, duly certified, along with the application form to the Admission and Registration Department.
    • Students must pledge to comply with the university’s regulations, instructions, and valid bylaws during their study.

Students enrolled in other faculties of dentistry at public, private, or recognized foreign universities may transfer under the following

  1. The student must have obtained a secondary school score (or equivalent) not less than the minimum required by the Presidential Decree establishing private universities and the Supreme Council of Universities’ regulations.
  2. The student must successfully pass the university’s admission, aptitude, and any other required tests.
  3. To graduate from the Faculty of Dentistry at Alamein University, the student must have studied there for a minimum of three years (six academic semesters).
