Bachelor's degrees

Upon the recommendation of the Faculty Council, Alamein University grants the Bachelor’s degree in Computers and Artificial Intelligence under the Credit Hour System in one of the following specializations (programs).

Additional programs (majors or minors) may be established at the Faculty in the future, in accordance with the provisions of the Private Universities Regulation Law, the Establishment Law of Alamein University, and its Internal Bylaws.

Graduation Requirements

To be awarded the Bachelor’s degree, students must successfully complete 138 credit hours, distributed among General Requirements (University Requirements), Core Requirements (Faculty Requirements), and Specialization Requirements (Major Requirements).

Each department shall be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the courses falling within its respective discipline. Furthermore, the Faculty shall offer general and foundational courses as part of its curriculum.

The utilization of modern tools and methodologies to counter various types of cyberattacks and safeguard digital content.

Digital Forensics

The deployment of a diverse set of tools and appropriate investigative methodologies to conduct digital forensics across file systems, networks, and mobile devices.

Disaster Recovery and Incident Response

The mastery of techniques for system restoration post-security breaches, ensuring business continuity and maintaining rapid response capabilities to security incidents.

Faculty Overview

The Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian University of Alamein, located in New Alamein City, is among the inaugural faculties to commence operations at the university. Academic instruction at the faculty is scheduled to begin in the academic year 2026/2027, pursuant to Ministerial Decree No. (………) issued by the Minister of Higher Education on ………, 2026.
Since its inception, the faculty has steadfastly endeavored to serve as a cornerstone for societal and scientific advancement within its region and environment. The faculty fulfills a pivotal educational, research, and community-oriented role by equipping society with the qualified human capital essential for sustainable development. Furthermore, it fosters the entrenchment of ethical values and high cultural ideals, reflecting the status of the Egyptian University of Alamein as a modern institution and a key pillar of private higher education.
The Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence firmly believes that its scope extends far beyond the mere instruction of computer sciences. It maintains that the mission of a university professor transcends delivering lectures to encompassing the cultivation of core values and skills. This includes instilling a deep awareness of the critical role of technology in the upcoming phase as a pathway to success and a means to elevate an education system built on strategic foundations and goals that benefit society.
In light of this vision, the internal bylaws of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence have been meticulously structured in accordance with the latest contemporary practices and the demands of both current and future labor markets. This framework addresses the intensifying local, regional, and international competition, ultimately serving the objectives of sustainable development and the Egypt Vision 2030.

College Admission Requirements

The Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence admits students holding the General Secondary Education Certificate (Thanaweiya Amma) – Mathematics and Science tracks – or its official equivalent, in accordance with the terms and conditions prescribed by the University Council.

Regulatory Provisions & Prerequisites:

Remedial Mathematics Requirement:

Students admitted from the Science track shall be required to complete a remedial/preparatory Mathematics course.

Regulatory Compliance:

All admissions shall strictly comply with the regulations and guidelines approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, represented by the Council of Private and National Universities.

Transfer Regulations from Equivalent Colleges or Higher Institutes

A. Credit Transfer and Course Exemption:

The Faculty accepts transfer students from equivalent colleges or higher institutes. Transfer students may be exempted from taking examinations in certain courses that are equivalent to the Faculty’s curriculum, provided they have successfully passed those courses at their institution of origin. This exemption is subject to an academic credit evaluation (course mapping) conducted by the relevant scientific departments. The exemption becomes effective upon the approval of both the Faculty Council and the Education and Student Affairs Council, with a delegation granted to the College Dean to ratify the academic credit evaluations.

B. Maximum Transferable Credits:

Students may transfer to the Faculty, and a credit evaluation shall be performed for the courses successfully completed at the institution of origin. The total exempted credits shall not exceed 50% of the total graduation requirements needed to obtain a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty (up to a maximum of 67 credit hours).

C. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) Calculation:

For transfer students admitted to a credit-hour program, the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) shall be calculated exclusively based on the courses completed under the framework of this specific program. No previous coursework completed under a credit-hour system at any other university, or under a two-semester (traditional) system at either the home or any other university, shall be factored into the CGPA calculation. In all cases, an academic credit evaluation shall be conducted to count approved courses toward graduation requirements, without including them in the student's CGPA.
