The Faculty of Nursing Sciences is committed to preparing a distinguished graduate, scientifically and professionally, who is familiar with the latest scientific methods and modern technologies and can provide high-quality nursing care according to national standards for all age groups to achieve excellence in the field of nursing locally, regionally and internationally.

The Academic Departments
The Academic Admission
The Faculty of Nursing accepts students who hold a General Secondary Education Certificate (Thanaweya Amma) or a Technical Nursing Diploma (i.e., General Secondary Certificate followed by two years of study at a Technical Nursing Institute), or their equivalent, in accordance with the conditions and admission tests determined by the University Council, and subject to the regulations set by the Ministry of Higher Education, represented by the Council of Private and National Universities.
Students holding diplomas from Technical Nursing Institutes or Technical Health Institutes (Nursing Division) may be admitted under the following conditions:
- Applying for admission to the faculty according to the intake quotas determined by the Faculty Council.
- The applicant must not have completed the six-month internship period or have been assigned to work by the Ministry of Health.
- Submitting proof of good conduct and behavior.
- The Faculty accepts transfer students from equivalent faculties or higher institutes. Transferred students may be exempted from taking certain equivalent courses, which they have successfully completed at their previous faculty or institute, subject to a course equivalency evaluation conducted by the relevant academic departments within the faculty. Exemptions are granted after the approval of the Education and Student Affairs Council and the Faculty Council, with the Dean authorized to approve the equivalency decisions.
- Students may transfer to the faculty, and credit for previously completed courses may be granted, provided it does not exceed 50% of the total required credit hours for obtaining the bachelor’s degree from the faculty (i.e., not exceeding 74 credit hours).
